Babelfish Ultra contains the power of Babelfish's catalogue production tools, the strength of Babelfish Pro's asset management system and the flexibility of full bi-directional web publishing.

In short, Babelfish Ultra contains everything required to manage copy and images for both internet and paper.

This combination of features allows full access to your text and images via a web browser.

The data that is imported into Babelfish can be made available on the web almost instantaneously by simply assigning web templates to the data and selecting which users you wish to have access to the data.

A complete set of HTML templates are provided but you also have the option of customising these or creating your own templates to give the web site your own look and feel or to distinguish between each customer's data.

User access can also be restricted to each set of data. This is password protected so that you can be sure that users can only view or edit the data you want them to. You have full control for each set of data whether you want the web pages to be display only or editable. If you choose to make the pages editable then users can edit the data online and the changes they make will be automatically reflected back in the system.

This automatically populates the drop down lists below with the column headings from the imported file. You can then build complex queries from the five lines of search criteria available, and if this does not narrow down your selection enough then clicking the "Search by selection" checkbox when you return to the search screen will restrict further queries to those records you have already selected.

From the list page you can choose to sort your selection of records by any of the fields and you can manually select records by clicking the checkboxes at the side.

Clicking any record takes you to its details page which has navigation buttons to enable you to browse through the selection easily.

If you have chosen to publish the data as editable the details page is where the users can edit the data with the changes reflected immediately in the database.
