Babelfish Pro combines the power of Babelfish's catalogue production tools, with the strength of a fully integrated digital asset management system.

This combination allows the user to create the most sophisticated graphic intensive publications, whilst taking the headache out of image management.

The system's capabilities are truly awesome; capable of storing up to 2 terabytes of data and handling 100's of client and internet users. Babelfish Pro is a complete client-server asset management system, capable of storing millions of media assets in hundreds of different file formats.

Regular users can connect using fast and powerful, purpose-built, application software whereas infrequent or internet users can connect via a web browser with almost identical functionality.

One of the key features of the system is the ability to re-purpose media. For example any image can be resized, flipped, cropped, rotated or have any of the 36 built in filters applied and saved in one of 20 formats and amazingly, this functionality is available to both local and internet users.

Adding images to the system couldn't be simpler. Either drag-and-drop files onto the image browser window, add them individually from an "Open File" dialog window, or set up "Monitor Folders" so that images can be added remotely and automatically.

Images can be categorised by style which will restrict their usage to certain publications and govern who can view them via a web browser, so your customers don't see one another's data.

You can even use your monitor as a digital light-box to select the correct image. Using the Slideshow feature you can flip between images and manage selections or use the Tile function to place any number of images side-by-side so you can compare and select images simultaneously.

Contact sheets can be printed in a wide variety of formats or created digitally in a series of image files, again in wide variety of styles and formats. Best of all the system can be used to create a static HTML contact sheet web-site in a selection of built-in or custom styles.
